For us here at Harvest, the heartbeat of the Ministry can be summed up with THREE Passages from the Bible:

Romans 10:8 (Message Bible)

"Moses wrote that anyone who insists on using the law code to live right before God soon discovers it’s not so easy—every detail of life regulated by fine print! But trusting God to shape the right living in us is a different story—no precarious climb up to Heaven to recruit the Messiah, no dangerous descent into hell to rescue the Messiah. So what exactly was Moses saying?

The Word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest.

It’s the Word of Faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching."

Luke 10:5 (Amplified Version, Classic Edition)

Jesus sent out 70 disciples into the towns and cities nearby. He told them that upon arrival to any house, they were to declare "…Freedom from all the distresses that were a result of sin…be to this household". What this means to us, is that one of the primary purposes of the local Church is to help bring total "freedom" from whatever has caused distress within a household. Whether the distresses present are a result of their personal sin or as a result of the sinfulness that came into this world through Adam's sin of disobedience, the Word of God has the solution. As people learn "HOW TO" rid their homes of distresses by the Power and Word of God, their homes will become more and more stable.

2 Timothy 2:2 (King James Version)

The Apostle Paul instructed the young Pastor Timothy to, "…take the instructions that have been learned from Paul and deposit them inside faithful men, who in turn will be capable of teaching others." Once again for us, we believe that this is the method whereby the local Church will affect multiple households with the Gospel and the Power of God through others. This will bring stability within a community and then spread to a city. Most people desire to see the negative situations of this life changed. They are tired of "just getting by" and living in what is called, "the-same-old stuff" lifestyle. Since the founding of Harvest International, we have seen that by teaching and empowering regular people with life-changing truths from the Word of God, the progressive results have been incredible. These same people not only apply the Word to their lives, they generally begin sharing the truths with friends, family, co-workers and neighbors. When learned and applied, God's Word will enable anyone, who is willing, to overcome life's messes.

OUR VISION

The Lord has given us a vision for the building up and equipping His people; who will in turn – build and expand His Kingdom. This "building of His people" comes through teaching the Revealed Principles of the Word of God. He has taught us that His Word can and will change any negative situations of life – into total victory. Total victory for any child of God is available in every area of life – spiritually, emotionally and physically (which include success economically and health for the body).

Regardless of a person's background, current status in life, hurts, pains, disappointments or set-backs, the Word of God (when learned and applied) will change even the worse-case scenario into a wonderful experience. We're not naive, we know that problems will constantly come into the life of a Christian, but we know that God's Word will always empower and equip any Christian for success over those problems.

What He has done here in the people of Harvest International, we are confident that once the Lord begins a work in you also, then "He, Who began the good work in you, won't stop before it is complete." (Philippians 1:6).

OUR COMMUNITY

Harvest International Christian Center is open to happy as well as hurting people of all ages and backgrounds. Each week we lead our congregation in the Worship of our Heavenly Father that will aid in deepening the connection to God and understanding the teachings of God’s written Word which will ultimately lead to a vibrant faith that will empower ordinary people to handle and overcome life’s “curve-balls”, disappointments, frustrations and daily pressures.

We have a proud history of serving the people of Terrell and others throughout this region as well as Churches on the dual-island in the Caribbean - Trinidad and Tobago. Through the dedication of our leadership, staff members and volunteers, we are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and are here to spread His message.
